THE FROG PRINCE BY BROTHER GRIMM
The frog prince is one of short story by Brother Grimm which has a consist of elemenet in postmodern theory. This story tell about the fairy tale. In that story show the upper class or we can say a king and his daughter. They live togehter in the castle with a piecefully. When the I goes to the deeply more analysis in postmodern with many point of view, but here I would like to show the point of view in social life in that short story. First, analyzing about this short story, begin with the family in that story in the castle or a king has a daughter or princess. This family is rich. In post modern the life should realistic and not individualism, they or people show the tolerance with other people and have different prespective. In the short story tell when a princess play a gold ball until down in the wall, so when the frog suddenly say “ I will take your ball but... you should promise to me that I should live with you like eat one’s a plate with you, sleep in a badtime with you..” until the princess let the frog and go to the castle again. It also as a meaning which has a live in post modern after modern era, because in modern era there is no tolerance with other people, they only focus with their selves. The next is about the gold ball has a meaning which has a upper class have a lot of gold, money and other wealth. In modern era before post modern era a lot of people to be a many comsummtion like in a lifesytle, wealth, and other daily life. So in the postmodern saveral person or until all people get a lot of little different life. Like a gold ball, the princess only focus playing a gold ball when she talk with a frog she just ignore it. It happened because one of the satire to the modern era only focus in the wealth do not listen other people say. In the short story I could see the magic which has frog change to be a handsome prince. It also belong to one of satire that the frog it could be one of the animal with an amphibi a not all people like with a frog, it means in the era modern not all people could receive their era, and change to be the post modern era which has all about the rule, like in politic, social, and culture have already changed litle by little in that era. Then I take a look in a how the king and a princess attitude when the frog come in the castle. Because in modern era a lot of prespective its depand in they show to other people. A princess when a look a frog she fell disgusting but the king there is no problem when a frog come in the castle. It means in the postmodern a lot of prespective could see the appearence. A lot of people could be like or not it depand the prespective
